25th Oct - Power to the Pool

Putting in the power cable to the pump shed.

Thankfully only a bit of manual digging for the trench with the digger tackling most of it!

25th Oct 2013 - Interior Gib

Interior gib work and stopping nearly complete.

Will we be in by our (revised) Christmas deadline?! 

19th Oct 2013 - Garage Lining Up

Garage MDF linings and ceiling up.

15th Sept 2013 - Exterior Plastering

Exterior plastering nearly complete.

7th Sept 2013 - Doors Going In

Putting in the cavity sliders and our big glass doors in the living room and pantry.

1st Sept 2013 - Ceiling Gib

Insulation all done and gib going up on the ceilings.

24th Aug 2013 - First Swim!

First swim in the new pool for some hardy (or foolish) boys!

17th Aug 2013 - Hardfill Around the Pool

Plenty of work on the bobcat getting some hard fill around the pool while there was a fine break from the winter rain.

17th July 2013: Pool In!

Pool is in the ground! Now we just need to do some landscaping... OK, a lot of landscaping! 

13th July 2013: Cladding Continues...

A few more panels of shadowclad ply to go on and plaster finishing work to do. Unfortunately the plasterer is away now for a few weeks!

13th July: Front Door Arrives

Front door in now so the house is all closed up.

Cladding just about finished so the boys and start on the interior soon!

6th July - Interior Progress

Concrete panels going on the living areas for plastering.

Shadowclad plywood on the boys bedrooms.

6th July 2013: Doors and Windows In

Nearly all the doors and windows are in now - just the front entry door left to go.

Cladding prep work underway.

8th June 2013: Roof and Building Paper On

The roof and soffits are complete now!

Building paper on - we could nearly move in!

8th June: Underfloor Heat Pump

Underfloor heat pump in place and waterpipe control centre installed.

Looks complicated....
Hopefully the power bills won't blow out!

17th April 2013: Roof Trusses Complete

Roof trusses complete now and the fascia on. Bring on the coloursteel!

29th March 2013: Roof Framing Continues...

Support beams in place now in the living rooms.

Shadow making himself at home in the living room too!

14th March 2013: Starting the Roof Trusses

Preparing for the truss work over the living areas and trusses going on over the garage, bedrooms, and offices.

7th March 2013: Steel Beams Arrive

Steel beams going up in the family room.

Need something to hold our big doors in!

21st Feb 2013: Frames Going Up

20th Feb 2013: Water Tanks and Septic

Digging the holes for the water tanks and septic tank.

Tanks in!

Two tanks so hopefully we don't run out of water.

16th Feb 2013: Keeping the Concrete Wet

Jacob helping out with the sprinkler to keep the slab wet.

Don't want it to crack!

15th Feb 2013: Slab Foundation Being Poured

Bring in the concrete!
